One2Call Celebrates Owls Partnership with Match Sponsorship & Fans Prize Draw
Following the announcement of our partnership with Sheffield Wednesday FC as the club’s trusted IT & Communications Partner, One2Call was thrilled to take the role of match sponsor for the Owls’ recent home game against EFL Championship leaders Burnley on Saturday, October 19th.
This event marked a special opportunity for us to celebrate and strengthen our connection with the club and its supporters.
A Memorable Matchday Experience
As match day sponsors, we invited along some valued clients and partners including Philip Lee (ITS), Scott Riley, (Yard Ball) and Laurence Bass, (Dandelion Consultancy), to join us in celebrating this special occasion. Our guests enjoyed an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of Hillsborough Stadium, including the chance to capture pitch-side photos. This was followed by a luxurious five-course table d’hôte meal, after which guests watched the game from the prestigious Directors’ Box.

Before kick-off, One2Call’s Managing Director, Danny Kirkby, took to the pitch alongside our guests Laurence and Scott to present the match ball to the team captains and referee, setting the stage for an exciting game. Throughout the day, our branding was prominently displayed around the stadium, with One2Call’s logo featured on the pitch-side LED boards and the giant screen, ensuring our new partnership was celebrated visibly by all in attendance.
Though the Owls faced a challenging match and ultimately fell to Burnley with a 2-0 loss, the spirit and support were stronger than ever. Reflecting on the day, Danny Kirkby shared:
“We’re thrilled to celebrate our new role as Sheffield Wednesday’s IT & Communications Partner by being match sponsors. While the result wasn’t what we’d hoped for, as a proud Sheffield business, we’re 100% behind the Owls, always.”
Celebrating With a Prize Draw for Owls Fans
To share the excitement with fellow Owls fans, One2Call hosted a free prize draw for an Apple iPad, open to supporters in the corporate hospitality area. With a fantastic turnout, we were pleased to announce Jayne Smith of Mockba Modular – the club’s new shirt sponsor- as the lucky winner. Jayne was presented with her prize by Nick Bass, One2Call’s Commercial Director.

Following the match, Nick also had the pleasure of presenting the signed match ball to Sheffield Wednesday’s Man of the Match, right-back Yan Valery, in the Springett Suite. Nick, a lifelong fan of Sheffield Wednesday, remarked:
“As a boyhood supporter of Wednesday, I’m immensely proud to celebrate One2Call’s new partnership as the Club IT & Communications Partner.”
